ABOUT

Blogging about cooking, food, restos, life, my stay here in the Philippines..The good the bad and the sexy!

Studying in the Philippines has been such a great experience for me in terms of personal growth and culture.
But some times I would get really home sick. Of course I missed my friends and family, but I also missed the food back home. Being a full time student, I was always budgeting my allowance. which meant canteen food. At first it was alright but with anything, If you have too much of it you get sick of it. I needed variety! I also realized that it is healthier to cook for yourself. I know fried chicken is not healthy but I can also tell you its healthier to cook it yourself because you know exactly what goes into the food you eat, how the food is handled, and prepared. So I started to cook my own meals while trying to stay on budget.

Now I don't consider myself a great cook but I do love cooking. It helps me relax and it helps me think and be creative. Now I know other people are not going to agree on some of the ways I cook my food and the ingredients I will use but its ok. This blog is me sharing my experience with you, with the money I have at hand. Fresh is always the best but sometimes you just don't have time or money to get those ingredients.

I hope you can learn from me and at the same time hope I can learn from you. To me that's how cooking is. Every one has their own style their own concept of it. You just have to be open to everything. It's an art.

Mangan!

This blogsite is Awesome Pete! It makes me hungry just reading it. You remind me of the Fatima University days when you would experiment with different dishes. Onion rings, kebabs, and your GridIron Burgers! Mmmm! Masarap!
